Kapampangan (also called Pampangan) is the sixth most spoken of the Philippine languages, with about 3 million speakers, 2.3 million of which speak it as their first language. They live mainly in southern Luzon in the Pampanga Province and neighboring districts like Tarlac and Bataan. Like most other Philippine languages, Kapampangan is an Austronesian tongue, distantly related to Indonesian and Malay.
