About the Nuer Language
The Nuer People live in Southern Sudan along the Nile River. Nuer is a Nilo-Saharan language spoken in Sudan and Eastern Ethiopia and is a lingua franca for many different ethnic groups in the región, due mainly to the size of the Nuer tribe itself. The alphabet is based on Latin characters. Several spoken dialects exist, though the written form of Nuer has been standardized.
